Alex Duck

Alex Duck is the Director of Operational Finance at Grey Rock Investment Partners and is responsible for all budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions for both Grey Rock and Granite Ridge Resources. He has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, ranging from investment banking and equity research to midstream and upstream corporate finance.

Prior to joining Grey Rock, Mr. Duck was the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at Aethon Energy, where he led calls with investors, reported monthly financial results and insights, and drove several major process improvements to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency. In addition, Mr. Duck served in prominent corporate finance roles at Medallion Midstream and Southcross Energy Partners from 2014 to 2023, where he fulfilled both corporate development and budgeting & forecasting roles. Mr. Duck began his career in various investment banking and equity research roles from 2010 through 2014.

Mr. Duck graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Minors in Economics and French.
