Summer Interns
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Join Grey Rock in our Dallas office for ten weeks in summer 2027. We expect to have four interns, one in each department: engineering, finance, land, and operations. We will consider applicants for a potential fifth role for AI work. Each intern will work within their department on specific projects for the duration of the summer, as well as some shared workstreams between the intern class. Our goal for interns is that you contribute value to your department as you learn more about the energy industry and energy transition.
WHO YOU ARE
Grey Rock summer interns are highly motivated students looking to get real-world experience in the energy and energy transition field. University students are eligible to apply as freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. There is not a path to a full-time role following this internship, so younger students are encouraged to apply.
Engineering interns should have coursework in petroleum engineering and data analysis.
Finance interns should have coursework in finance.
Land interns should be majoring in a land-related field.
Operations interns should be prepared to contribute on administrative and physical tasks in the office. High school seniors are eligible to apply for the Operations slot. Please note if you have any accounting coursework.
AI interns should have experience building and deploying practical AI tools. High school seniors are eligible to apply for the AI slot.
